Real Parent Stories with Aisha

Real Parent Stories with Aisha

To begin with, tell us a little more about who you are, where you're from and the age of your little one(s)?

My name's Aisha and I have a 3 month old daughter I'm from the UK but moved to Australia with my husband when I was pregnant.

What were your very first thoughts after your baby was born?

I was still nervous and excited , she was tiny but mighty and it was incredibly daunting. I couldn't believe I had produced a human to be honest.

Did you settle quickly into a routine with your baby? If so, do you think it worked well for you?

No way! We tried but our daughter had tongue tie and I just struggled with breastfeeding but felt guilty for putting her on formula. And her sleeps were all over the place from her feeds being so stressful.

How soon after your baby was born did you begin to swaddle your baby?

We used muslin squares for a few months and we had a friend recommend the Love To Dream™ brand.

How did you come to know about LOVE TO DREAM™?

A friend.

Do you feel like using the LOVE TO DREAM™ range of products has made a positive impact on you and your baby's sleep?

Yes we all sleep better in the knowledge she is safe and warm, comfortable and she sleeps A LOT more solidly now!

What is the one thing you wish you'd known before you became a parent?

That you don't need to perfect and not everyday is going to be the same and all of the above is ok. It's tricky business being a parent but it's so rewarding.

Three words to describe life before parenthood and three to describe life post-parenthood:

Busy, organised & freedom.

Chaotic, beautiful & rewarding.

What is the one piece of advice you'd like to offer new parents or parents-to-be?

Trust yourself and always communicate with your partner or who ever is going to help you raise your child.

What are the top 5 essential items every new parent should have ready to go when baby arrives?

Car seat, socks, hats (for either season) baby bag with nappy, nappy sacks and wipes, spare change of clothes for both mum and baby.
